They have taken their 9-year-old Tennessee Bourbon, crafted from a mash bill of 84 percent corn, 8 percent rye, and 8 percent malted barley, then gave it an additional 18 months of aging in French oak barrels that used to hold The Prisoner red wine. While Bardstown Bourbon Company are no strangers to similar partnerships, this is their biggest yet. "The Prisoner Wine Companys ethos is rooted in collaboration. The Discovery #2 is blended from 3 distinct juices. 44 percent of the blend is a 10-year-old bourbon, 39 percent a rye-heavier 12-year-old, and 17 percent a 14-year-old.
